The Onkyo Remote3 Control App is the official Onkyo application for iPhone/iPod touch. It allows users to easily operate compatible Onkyo network products, enhancing the home entertainment experience. The app, available as a free download, is compatible with all network-capable Onkyo A/V products, as well as selected network-ready products released in 2009 and later.

Important Note: Compatibility with Onkyo network components manufactured before 2009 will vary depending on the specific model.

The Onkyo Remote3 app offers several functions:

Seamless operation of audio streaming services. Users can easily select stations on the touchscreen without the need to view a TV display.
Control of streaming audio files from a DLNA-compatible server. Users can directly select music from the server using their iPhone/iPod touch.
General remote control and playback functionality.
Volume-control function.
Display of station frequency information when listening to radio (available only on A/V products with a built-in radio tuner).
Wireless streaming of music stored on iPhone/iPod touch (selected models only).
FLAC, DSD, and Apple Lossless playback capability via Home Media function (selected models only).
Compatibility with Spotify Connect* (A/V network receivers released in 2014 and later).

*Availability of Spotify Connect depends on the region.

The Onkyo Remote3 Control App is compatible with the following iPhone/iPod touch models:

iPhone 4, 4s, 5, 5s, 5c, 6, 6plus
iPod touch running iOS 7.1 or later.

Note: Customers using iPhones or iPods that do not support iOS 7.1 will not be able to apply this update.

Compatible Onkyo Products:

All Network A/V Receivers released in 2009 and later (excluding 2009 models for stored music streaming on iPod touch or iPhone).
